    Foreigners usually have many hesitations before they accept , actually from any country. Quite a few of them are worried about the schools’ reputation. Most of them get an idea of a school and its reputation through the information provided by other teachers that have worked there or the reviews on some websites. All these could only be regarded as a judge, but can not decide whether a school is good or not. It’s not wise to tell a school just from what others said. Because few of them can give an objective assessment. All of them only wrote what their employer did to them, but never mentioned what they did and why the school did so. No schools can get good reviews from all. Everyone has its right to write a comment on a school, no matter whether they worked in that school or not. Some competitors with narrow ideas could possibly ask their staff or someone to write something bad about other schools. This will mislead what foreigners think about the school if they see these comments. Even though it’s from a real teacher that have worked there, there must be something you don’t know. Sometimes, the foreign teachers don’t get well along with their coworkers or employers because of some small things or personalities, this makes them very unhappy and they couldn’t drop it. So they might exaggerate such things after leaving and make you think the school did too bad things to them.     As we all know, foreigners have different ways of finding in China. They could connect with schools directly, but this is actually not easy or effective enough. It will take schools and foreigners much time to match. They have different requirements and expectations about the teacher and about the job. As time passes by, finding an ESL job through an agent is becoming more and more popular. There are two types of recruiting agents or companies in China. One is . They assist the foreigners during the whole process, but they don’t charge from the foreign teachers or deduct from their monthly pay. No matter which country you travel to, there are things you should learn and remember about the culture so as not to offend the locals. And as a teacher, you also need to think about how to make your lessons effective and efficient so that the students can benefit a lot.Here are some basic rules to follow.   Don’t be sensitive to the cultural differences. Like in every country, there are cultural practices in China that adhered to by the Chinese nationals.Though some of these practices might be insignificant to you, you are supposed to respect them and possibly adhere to them too. One of the reasons that you’re is to embrace other cultures, so it’s nice to embrace other cultures especially when you are residing within the community. Don’t be too sensitive about the unexpected differences. Try to understand those things as culture.   Don’t discuss your salary with workmates. I have worked in the recruitment industry for more than three years, and we’ve been summarizing some regularities and experience during each case. I summed up the following points which might have guiding significance for you and perhaps can help you in a better way. First, as a foreign job seeker, there are very limited ways of looking for . If one is not in China, the only way is distant communication via network or cellphone, which is not so convenient. Therefore, online connection is the main way to make contact with schools or recruiting agents. You could imagine how important it is to remain a smooth network. However, some foreigners are not really ready to respond to interviews in time. Some start searching something while they are travelling or having financial problem. They often lose contact when schools or agents try to schedule interviews with them or follow up about the offer or contract sent. This is not a good signal or not a right attitude. If you are not ready, you had better not start contacting Chinese schools or agents. No schools or agents like teachers who are not active to respond or who are often late for interviews. This will affect how they think of you, no matter how overqualified you are. If you want to find a ESL job more smoothly and successfully, prompt reply is very necessary and important during the whole process.     In the process of recruiting , schools will inevitably encounter some teachers that put forward various requirments because of the funding issues. Many foreign teachers hope that the school can first provide ticket to China. It is not that school is unwilling to do so, but because there are do some risk of doing this. Some schools have suffered losses for doing it.   There was a foreign teacher. His bank account has less money in it since he bought the ticket to China. He was worried about the first month in China, thinking it would be difficult to work it out. He repeatedly worried that and booked and refunded the ticket again and again. He hoped that the school can provide the ticket first and deduct it later from his salary. It took him a lot of time to discuss this with the school and do mental struggle.
